Our campaign director for the 2024 Campaign will be Rob Freis. Rob led this campaign for the Army of the Roanoke several years ago, but will expand the scope of the campaign for us in 2024. At this year’s campaign Rob will be ably assisted by Jim Ballou, Ben Brockenbrough, Denny Frasche, Hal Nelson, Geoff Irani, your humble servant, and others members of the Corps d’Elite who are steeped in the lore of the Civil War. Rob and the other presenters will show you sites that will really help to make the second day of the Battle of Gettysburg come alive.
This 2024 campaign will be the 25th campaign of the GAC and the 67th campaign of the Army of the Cussewago (AoC)-GAC. During these past 28 years of the GAC, we’ve mourned the loss of many of our older members, but we’ve also celebrated the enlistment of newer members who have joined our ranks. We’ve kept the promise we made 27 years ago to Professor Jay Luvaas and to the members of the old Army of the Cussewago that we would keep his Army and our fellowship vibrant and strong.
